About The Position

Independent Management Services is hiring a Leasing Consultant / Front Office team member for its affordable housing community at North Hills Farms 1 in Pontiac, Michigan. The role supports rental sales and leasing, resident services, and community outreach. The company manages affordable and workforce housing communities nationwide and offers training and employee development, with potential career opportunities. The position is full-time and on the day shift, and reports directly to the Site Manager.

Requirements

• Sales-minded, with strong attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to take initiative.
• Excellent follow-up skills through telephone and email correspondence.
• Experience with HUD Section 8 subsidy programs.
• Demonstrated reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must adhere to Federal Fair Housing Laws.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Paycom software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with RealPage OneSite.

Responsibilities

• Manage rental sales activities from lead generation through closing.
• Respond to rental inquiries, conduct unit tours, qualify applicants, and complete lease renewals.
• Pursue rental leads from telephone inquiries, walk-in traffic, the internet, and other sources.
• Generate qualified rental leads through referrals, networking, and company-supported advertising.
• Create and execute community outreach marketing efforts.
• Receive and resolve resident requests and concerns.
• Organize resident functions as needed to promote retention and satisfaction.
• Foster positive working relationships with residents while maintaining a professional demeanor.
