About The Position

Garney is hiring a Lead Trackhoe operator. The role operates an excavator as part of a construction crew to perform excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing, looming, fine grading, and final cleanup. The operator may also perform laborer duties as needed. Candidates must have previous construction experience, be able to work overtime, and be willing to travel. The position requires safe equipment operation, operator-level machine maintenance, knowledge of safe working loads and signals, and the ability to handle trench boxes of all sizes and shapes.

Requirements

Five years of construction experience operating a CAT 339 or larger.
Firm knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance.
Must be able to work overtime.
Must be willing to travel.
Previous construction experience.

Responsibilities

Operate an excavator safely as part of a crew.
Perform operator-level maintenance on the machine.
Understand safe working loads and signals.
Handle trench boxes of all sizes and shapes.
Perform excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing, looming, fine grading, and final cleanup.
Perform laborer functions as required.
