About The Position

Suncore is hiring an experienced Mainline Trackhoe Operator to support underground utility and pipeline projects. The role involves safely operating a mainline trackhoe and performing pipeline, sewer, and storm drain installation work. The operator checks slopes and grades, lays out pipe routes, coordinates with supervisors, positions pipes for connection and sealing, and backfills installed pipes. The position requires physical capability to bend, sit for extended periods, work in hot conditions, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Employees must operate equipment safely around coworkers, utilities, and property and work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements

At least 1 year of trackhoe operating experience.
Ability to bend, sit for extended periods, and work in hot conditions.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
Ability to safely operate equipment around team members, utilities, and surrounding property.
Strong awareness of jobsite safety and the ability to protect people, equipment, property, and underground utilities.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a mainline trackhoe to excavate pipeline trenches.
Install sanitary sewer and storm drain structures and piping systems.
Check slopes and grades using lasers, grade rods, transit levels, and other instruments.
Lay out pipe routes using blueprints and written instructions while coordinating with supervisors.
Align and position pipes to prepare them for connection and sealing.
Backfill and cover installed pipes with soil or other approved materials.
Safely operate equipment around team members, utilities, and surrounding property.
Protect people, equipment, property, and underground utilities through safe work practices.
