Lead Teacher, River Valley Montessori of Shakopee
About The Position
The Lead Teacher at River Valley Montessori of Shakopee creates interactive learning experiences and mentors fellow Teachers. The role promotes the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children, leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, and ensures compliance with licensing guidelines and company standards. The Lead Teacher also builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The role involves working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children. The work week is Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
- Ability to meet state education requirements and childcare center requirements.
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
Responsibilities
- Create fun, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow Teachers.
- Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the classroom.
- Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
- Follow applicable licensing guidelines and company standards.
- Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
