About The Position

River Valley Montessori of Savage is hiring a Lead Teacher to support preschool children’s learning and development. The role involves creating interactive learning experiences, mentoring other Teachers, promoting children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth, managing the classroom, implementing curriculum, and following licensing guidelines and company standards. The Lead Teacher also builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success.

The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children. The stated work week is Monday through Friday. The listed pay is $19.87–$20.65 per hour, based on position, education, and experience. The employer participates in the MN Great Start Compensation program, which provides compensation in addition to regular hourly pay.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate.
