About The Position

River Valley Montessori of Bloomington is hiring an Assistant Teacher to help inspire children to become lifelong learners. The role involves supporting children's daily care and learning in a child care center, maintaining a fun, interactive, clean, and organized classroom, and following licensing guidelines and company standards. Assistant Teachers develop their skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children and communicating with families. Extensive training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics is provided. The position offers a Monday–Friday work week. Pay is $17.69–$18.38 per hour, based on position, education, and experience, with bi-weekly and Daily Pay options.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
