About The Position

River Valley Montessori of Shakopee is hiring an Assistant Teacher to help provide daily care and learning experiences for children. The role supports a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized, follows licensing guidelines and company standards, and helps children become lifelong learners. Assistant Teachers develop skills in observing, assessing, and planning for children, communicating with families, and learning about childcare, preschool, and child development through extensive training.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic and dependable, with a passion for working with children.

Responsibilities

• Follow licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Develop the ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children.
• Communicate effectively with families.
• Complete training on childcare, preschool, and child development topics.
• Engage in physical activity with children, indoors or outdoors.

• Hourly pay of $15.41–$16.01, based on position, education, and experience; bi-weekly and daily pay options.
