About The Position

The Lead Spa Technician performs body therapies for guests, including massage, esthetician, body treatment, and wellness services. The role maintains knowledge of spa services, treatments, products, vendors, and applicable hotel and departmental policies and protocols. Working with management, the Lead Spa Technician helps develop treatment protocols and standard operating procedures, trains licensed technicians, supports hiring, and helps ensure ongoing compliance. The position also includes preparing and maintaining workstations, assisting with departmental needs, escorting guests, and supporting a positive team environment.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited massage or esthetician school.
Must be licensed in the state of Montana.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of experience as a licensed massage therapist or esthetician is strongly preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Management experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform body therapies for guests, including services in massage, esthetics, body treatments, and wellness.
Maintain complete knowledge of spa services, treatments, products, and vendors.
Partner with management to develop treatment protocols and SOPs for massage, esthetician, body treatment, and wellness services.
Train new and current licensed technicians on service protocols and SOPs, and ensure continued compliance.
Partner with management to interview and assist with hiring new technicians, including receiving available practicum as needed.
Maintain knowledge of and comply with hotel and departmental policies and spa protocols and procedures.
Set up workstations with necessary supplies.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift; break down, restock, and clean used workstations.
Assist with departmental tasks and needs outside treatment times during scheduled shifts.
Escort guests to and from treatments.
Contribute to a positive work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention.
Assist with team meetings and attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
Perform other duties associated with spa and technician operations.
