About The Position
The Server at Sage Lodge creates exceptional dining experiences by engaging guests, guiding them through menu offerings, identifying upselling opportunities, and delivering attentive service. The role is responsible for taking and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining knowledge of menu items, and ensuring an appealing and consistent presentation. Servers also process guest payments and keep dining and work areas clean and organized. The position offers an hourly pay range of $12 to $13, depending on experience, and is eligible for tips or tip pooling. Perk eligibility depends on job status. Requirements
- Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
- Ability to perform essential functions on a computerized Point of Sale system.
- Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
- Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
- Necessary state Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).
Responsibilities
- Take guest orders and serve food and beverage items according to established standards.
- Enter orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicate special requests to the culinary team.
- Assemble food items such as appetizers, salads, and soups.
- Ensure food and beverages are presented attractively and consistently and served at the correct temperature.
- Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
- Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash-handling procedures.
- Keep the work area, including the guest dining area, clean and organized.
- Engage guests, explain menu offerings, and capitalize on upselling opportunities.
