Lead Installer - Detroit (Paid Training)
About The Position
West Shore Home is seeking an experienced Lead Shower & Bath Installer to lead residential bathroom remodeling projects in the Detroit area from start to finish. The role involves demolishing existing tubs and showers, making plumbing updates when needed, and installing new tubs, shower pans, wall surrounds, and accessories. The installer represents the company in customers’ homes, maintains a clean and safe worksite, communicates with homeowners, and completes required paperwork and project closeout. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:30 AM start and includes year-round work. Installers load materials at the warehouse before traveling to customer homes and return to the warehouse at the end of the day. Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction, or installation.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Valid smartphone or smart device for required company systems and two-factor authentication.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Ability to read and follow measurements and installation specifications.
- Comfort working with hand and power tools.
- Experience or comfort with demolition and residential remodeling.
- Ability to make plumbing adjustments as needed.
- Problem-solving ability when plans do not proceed as expected.
- Professional communication with homeowners.
- Pride in the quality of finished work.
Responsibilities
- Lead bathroom remodeling projects from start to finish.
- Load the truck and materials at the warehouse before traveling to the job.
- Arrive at customers’ homes on time and represent West Shore Home professionally.
- Safely demolish existing tubs and showers while protecting the customer’s home.
- Install new tubs, shower pans, wall surrounds, and related components.
- Perform plumbing updates and modifications when needed.
- Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards.
- Keep the jobsite clean and treat customers’ homes with respect.
- Communicate with customers throughout the installation.
- Complete required paperwork and project closeout.
- Return to the warehouse at the end of the day.
