About The Position

West Shore Home is hiring an experienced Lead Installer to lead residential bathroom remodeling projects in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves managing installations from start to finish, including demolition of existing tubs and showers, plumbing updates when needed, and installation of new tubs, shower pans, wall surrounds, and accessories. The installer loads materials at the warehouse, travels to customer homes, maintains a clean and safe jobsite, communicates with homeowners, completes paperwork and project closeout, and returns to the warehouse at the end of the day.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday with a 6:30 AM start, with year-round work and paid training. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour based on experience and skill level. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate, and Saturdays are paid at double time. West Shore Home provides equipment, benefits, and opportunities to advance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction, or installation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Valid smartphone or smart device for required company systems and two-factor authentication.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Ability to read and follow measurements and installation specifications.
• Experience working with hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform demolition and residential remodeling.
• Ability to make plumbing adjustments as needed.
• Ability to solve problems when plans change.
• Ability to communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Pride in the quality of finished work.

Responsibilities

• Lead bathroom remodeling projects from start to finish.
• Load the truck and materials at the warehouse before traveling to the job.
• Arrive at customers’ homes on time and represent West Shore Home professionally.
• Safely demolish existing tubs and showers while protecting the customer’s home.
• Install new tubs, shower pans, wall surrounds, and related components.
• Perform plumbing updates and modifications when needed.
• Ensure installations meet quality and safety standards.
• Keep the jobsite clean and treat the customer’s home with respect.
• Communicate with customers throughout the installation.
• Complete required paperwork and project closeout.
• Return to the warehouse at the end of the day.
