About The Position
West Shore Home is a technology-driven home improvement company specializing in bathroom, flooring, window, and door remodels. The Lead Flooring Installer helps perform safe, effective flooring installations according to company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols, while providing customers with a five-star experience. The role is based in Ocala, Florida, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule with a 6:30 AM start. The approximate pay is $23–$28 per hour; final compensation may vary based on factors such as background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location. Paid training and professional growth opportunities are offered.
Requirements
- Experience installing windows or doors, or experience in carpentry, remodeling, or construction; alternatively, a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A valid smartphone or smart device for logging into company-required systems using two-factor authentication.
Responsibilities
- Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM to load materials and trucks.
- Travel to customers’ homes, greet customers, and establish rapport.
- Demonstrate and remove existing flooring, install replacement floors, and replace trim.
- Thoroughly clean up while taking care of the customer’s home.
- Collect paperwork and payment, then return to the warehouse.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and personal protective equipment protocols during installations.
