About The Position

The Lead Mutuel Clerk assists guests with placing wagers on horse racing and sporting events from around the globe. The role helps oversee daily operations alongside the Sportsbook Supervisor and sets the standard for an unmatched guest experience. The starting rate is $18.00 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of prior relevant experience in Race and Sportsbook or a related casino area.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with daily operations, ensuring company compliance and procedures; verify cash drawers, complete reports, rate casino customer activity, and monitor the race and sportsbook for suspicious activity.
• Monitor all tickets written, cashed, and voided, as well as monies wagered during the shift.
• Maintain and reconcile a cash bank; accept payments and provide correct change when necessary.
• Pay winning tickets accurately and promptly; verify tickets and payoffs.
• Perform writing and cashiering in accordance with department policy and procedures.
• Verify the accuracy of LED boards and guest information sheets, and provide information sheets to guests.
• Manage mobile app sign-ups and guest service responses, maintain kiosks, and troubleshoot problems.
• Protect customers’ rewards and ensure adherence to credit lines.
