About The Position

As a Clerk Deposit Groups at MGM Resorts International, you are an essential part of the guest experience. You help ensure appropriate accommodation arrangements for VIP guest reservations, groups, and wholesale bookings through personable service and accurate reservation records. The role supports casino hosts, executives, guests, meeting planners, wholesale companies, Convention Sales and Service Managers, and Leisure Sales in coordinating reservations and room blocks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of relevant experience in Casino Marketing or VIP experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze casino play and establish comp profiles for guest reservations.
• Process reservations and requests from guests, hosts, executives, the Sales Department, and branch offices.
• Assist casino hosts and executives with reservations and requests for information.
• Receive inbound calls in response to mailings and invitations, and book Slot Tournament reservations, Direct Marketing Packages, and related bookings.
• Act as a liaison between the reservations department and meeting planners or wholesale companies regarding group-specific questions.
• Communicate with Convention Sales and Service Managers about room blocks for companies holding hotel meetings, including rooms utilized and remaining for pickup.
• Communicate with Leisure Sales regarding wholesale room blocks reserved for tour operators to sell as packages.
• Monitor cutoff dates to prevent convention groups from booking at their convention rate and to manage group blocks effectively.
• Review convention booking recap details, including arrival and departure dates, room counts, and rates, to ensure pertinent information is entered in the computer system.
