About the position
We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating user-friendly and user-focused experiences in a hyper-growth environment, with the goal of growing membership from tens of thousands to millions over the next five years. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in UX, both web and mobile, and be comfortable with rapid prototyping and running user interviews. Additionally, they will contribute to developing processes and tools to empower the entire design team. This role will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other designers to craft designs that address issues and create a user-friendly experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and other teams to target problems & goals, create prototypes, and launch new product features.
- Understand business needs and connect them with design decisions that can be articulated in individual or group settings.
- Define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for the product.
- Carry out the brand voice through designs and address any gaps where design skills can improve a process.
- Partner with engineering to understand the technical constraints of a project and make pragmatic tradeoffs on designs.
- Craft designs through every stage of the process, from exploratory concept to pixel-perfect, shipped UI.
- Have 4+ years of experience in end-to-end product design at a tech, product-driven company.
- Showcase a strong UX/UI/visual portfolio with thoughtfulness, depth, and clarity, and insights gained from testing and shipping.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Figma, Creative Cloud, wireframing, user journey mapping, interaction design, and native mobile and mobile optimization.
- Have experience in cross-platform design (Web, iOS, emails, print).
- Possess strong communication skills to explain product strategy, process, and decisions to cross-functional teams.
- Seek feedback and advice from others to produce the best work.
- Have experience in B2B products with a product-led growth motion (a plus).
- Hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Be proactive, independent, passionate, a team player, fast-paced, and curious.
- Grow with the organization and elevate designs.
