Lead HVAC Installer
About The Position
ARS-Rescue Rooter is hiring an experienced Lead HVAC Installer for residential heating and air conditioning installation. The role installs and replaces residential equipment such as furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and complete HVAC systems. The Lead Installer takes responsibility for installation projects and guides an assigned helper or junior installer, ensuring work follows manufacturer guidelines, local codes, safety protocols, quality standards, and inspection requirements. The position also includes system startups, operational checks, troubleshooting, and providing professional customer service while keeping work areas clean and organized. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity with steady workloads. The listed pay range is $32–$38 per hour; additional compensation may be offered based on experience and specified in an offer letter addendum.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience.
- Experience installing heating and air conditioning systems.
- Comfortable leading HVAC installations with a helper.
- Working knowledge of local HVAC inspection codes.
- EPA Certification or ability to obtain it.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy HVAC equipment and work in attics or crawlspaces.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Replace aging or malfunctioning HVAC equipment, including furnaces, heat pumps, and central air conditioning systems.
- Complete residential HVAC system installations in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and local codes.
- Lead HVAC installation projects and guide and support an assigned helper or junior installer.
- Perform system startups, verify proper operation, and diagnose issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and inspection requirements.
- Provide a professional customer experience and keep work areas clean and organized.
