Lead Hospital Housekeeper
About The Position
Xanitos, Inc. is hiring a full-time Lead Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper for the first shift at AHMC San Gabriel Valley Medical Center in California. The Lead Hospital Housekeeper assists environmental services frontline staff, helps coordinate shift changes, and supports staff with housekeeping processes and procedures. The role also performs cleaning and housekeeping duties throughout the hospital, including patient rooms and common areas. The position includes every other weekend and holiday. The hourly pay rate is $23.00, plus an additional lead pay of $1.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Experience in medical cleaning is required.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Must complete post-offer medical screening, background screening, and drug test.
- Ability to stand and walk regularly and work in a standing position for long periods.
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Visual abilities include close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
- Possible exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.

Responsibilities
- Assist EVS frontline staff.
- Help set up for shift change.
- Provide assistance to frontline staff with housekeeping processes and procedures.
- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Polish metalwork.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area.
- Replenish bathroom supplies.
- Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
