About The Position

The Housekeeping Technician performs cleaning and maintenance duties throughout the hospital, providing high-quality service to patients and visitors. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, discharge rooms, offices, bathrooms, and public areas; restocking supplies; responding to spills and special cleanup requests; and preparing rooms for incoming patients within required timelines. The technician also maintains and operates cleaning equipment, sets up auditoriums and rooms, moves furniture and equipment, and communicates with hospital team members and supervisors.

Requirements

Previous hospital cleaning experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize assigned areas according to required procedures.
Complete daily cleaning of patient rooms, discharge rooms, offices, non-patient rooms, bathrooms, and public areas.
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers and proactively address their needs.
Restock supplies in restrooms, patient rooms, cleaning carts, and supply closets.
Respond to special cleanup requests and accidental spills.
Clean discharged patients’ rooms within the required timeline.
Maintain, set up, and operate cleaning equipment.
Set up auditoriums and rooms and move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
Communicate with hospital team members and supervisors.
