Hospital Housekeeper

About The Position

Responsible for cleaning clinical and non-clinical areas of the facility in accordance with departmental and hospital policy. The role also performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor and adheres to safety and sanitation policies. The housekeeper follows requirements for storing, handling, and disposing of regulated medical waste (RMW), hazardous materials, solid waste, and linen; maintains Environmental Services uniform and personal appearance standards; and reports hazards and unsafe work conditions.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.
At least 1 year of housekeeping or service-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean clinical and non-clinical areas according to departmental and hospital policy.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Follow safety and sanitation policies.
Follow storage, handling, and disposal requirements for RMW, hazardous materials, solid waste, and linen.
Maintain Environmental Services uniform and personal appearance standards.
Report hazards and unsafe work conditions.
