About The Position

Broughton Hospital is accepting applications for Housekeepers. The work involves cleaning and minor maintenance of an assigned area, including a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of state facilities. Duties may include physically strenuous activities such as moving furniture, operating heavy cleaning equipment, and delivering large quantities of housekeeping supplies. Work is performed under close supervision and guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and specific instructions for special assignments. Work is reviewed through inspections and frequent consultation with supervisory personnel. The position is designated as mandatory and employees must report or stay over during adverse weather events. Flexibility is required for education and training purposes and to meet the needs of the facility. Multiple positions are being recruited for, and applications will be considered for all noted openings.

Requirements

• Education and/or experience in housekeeping work directly related to the job.
• Ability to meet the facility's flexibility needs for education, training, and operational requirements.
• Must be in good standing with the Health Care Personnel Registry and other licensing boards or agencies.
• Must complete pre-employment drug testing and criminal record background checks.
• All employees must adhere to the facility's Vaccination Policy.

Nice To Haves

• Basic knowledge of established cleaning procedures and techniques.
• Basic knowledge of the purpose and application of products and equipment used in a cleaning operation.
• Basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to arrange items or actions in a specified order or pattern according to rules.
