About The Position

The Lead Guide is a part-time, non-exempt retail leadership role at Cotopaxi’s Bridgeport Village store in Tigard, Oregon. The position bridges the sales floor and store leadership, helping elevate guest experiences and team culture. Lead Guides create personal, inclusive, and impactful connections with guests, share Cotopaxi’s products and mission, and coach fellow Guides. The role also supports daily store operations, team development, and the presentation and organization of the store.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have at least 1 year of retail experience; lead or supervisor experience is ideal.
Be energized by people, storytelling, and authentic connection.
Demonstrate motivation and team-building skills.
Be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Have a growth mindset and be flexible, creative, and proactive.
Care about community, adventure, and impact, and believe in Cotopaxi’s Do Good mission.
Be flexible with scheduling to support team and business needs, including holidays.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet.

Responsibilities

Help open and close the store and support smooth daily operations.
Assist with inventory management, merchandising, and back-of-house organization.
Delegate tasks, manage priorities, and uphold store standards.
Provide real-time feedback to build team confidence and camaraderie.
Support new-hire onboarding and help develop a team that reflects Cotopaxi’s values.
