About The Position

Patch Caregiving provides backup childcare to workers through their employers, with care spaces located at parents’ workplaces. The Lead Childcare Teacher manages a play-based, multi-age care room for children ages 2–12. The role includes caring for children, leading activities and curriculum, communicating with parents, and maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging space. This is a part-time, variable-schedule position at the Shippensburg, Pennsylvania site. Coverage is needed Monday through Friday, generally between approximately 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., with about five shifts per week. Shift times are not always predictable: schedules are typically finalized on Friday for the following week, and start times may be confirmed the evening before. Applicants should be flexible and available on short notice; the role may not suit someone who needs a fixed weekly schedule.
