About The Position

Safety-Kleen in Buffalo, New York is hiring a Utility Driver/Driver Lead. The Utility Driver provides primary route coverage for the assigned district and supports other districts as needed during vacations, sick time, and turnover. The role involves collecting waste oil from customer locations, preparing waste loads for shipment to oil terminals, and serving as a backup driver when needed. The driver also mentors and trains other drivers and provides safe, friendly, timely, and quality customer service.

Requirements

• Class B CDL required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements upon hire.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to train and mentor others on job responsibilities.
• Excellent safety record.
• Strong communication skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL strongly preferred.
• Previous route service driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
• Provide safe, friendly, on-time, quality customer service.
• Pick up waste oil at customer locations using a Class B tanker truck, box truck, or lube delivery truck.
• Mentor and train other drivers.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to oil terminals.
• Serve as a backup driver and cover routes when needed.
• Ensure waste and oil are stored safely and properly.
• Visit and service 8 or more customers per day.
