About The Position

Safety-Kleen in Salt Lake City, Utah, is hiring a Utility Driver/Driver Lead. The Utility Driver provides primary route coverage for the assigned district and supports other districts as needed to cover vacation, sick time, and turnover. The role involves collecting waste oil from customer locations, preparing waste loads for shipment, ensuring waste and oil are stored safely, and providing backup route coverage. The driver also mentors and trains other drivers and visits and services more than eight customers per day.

Requirements

• Class B CDL required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements upon hire.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to train and mentor others on job responsibilities.
• Excellent safety record.
• Strong communication skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Class A CDL strongly preferred.
• Previous route service driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices, policies, and processes, and prioritize health and safety at all times.
• Provide safe, friendly, timely, and high-quality customer service.
• Pick up waste oil from customer locations while driving a Class B tanker truck, box truck, or lube delivery truck.
• Mentor and train other drivers.
• Prepare waste loads for shipment to oil terminals.
• Provide backup driver coverage for routes when needed.
• Ensure waste and oil are stored safely and properly.
• Visit and service more than eight customers per day.
