About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its detox and residential treatment facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the Behavioral Health Technician team, oversees client engagement, and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. The Lead Behavioral Health Technician also ensures clients and staff follow Avenues’ rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality and ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification.
• For applicants in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in operational duties and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician, as stated in the posting.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues’ rules, policies, and procedures.
