About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for a detox and residential treatment facility opening in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role oversees daily residential operations, supports and trains the Behavioral Health Technician team, and helps maintain a positive, recovery-oriented environment for clients. The Lead Behavioral Health Technician also ensures clients and staff follow Avenues’ rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and Behavioral Health Technicians comply with Avenues’ rules, policies, and procedures.
