About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Lead Behavioral Health Technician for its Detox and Residential treatment facility opening in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role manages daily residential operations, supports and trains the Behavioral Health Technician team, oversees client engagement and morale, and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. The Lead Behavioral Health Technician also ensures that clients and staff comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the Behavioral Health Technician team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and Behavioral Health Technician compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
