About The Position

ReMed, a Collage Rehabilitation Partner, provides neurological rehabilitation to adults with brain injury, including treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues, and accident- or sports-related head injuries. The organization is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians for its residential programs in Covington, Louisiana. The role provides direct care to people experiencing behavioral challenges as a result of brain injury and includes implementing behavioral programs, assisting residents with daily activities, transporting residents, completing documentation, and performing housekeeping tasks. This is a weekend position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver's license and maintenance of responsible driving behaviors.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Implement facility-wide behavioral training and individual behavioral protocols, completing the necessary documentation.
Model appropriate behavior and provide positive reinforcement and corrective feedback daily.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, transfers, toileting, and physical assistance; assist with and participate in physical, vocational, and recreational activities.
Transport residents to medical appointments and to vocational, recreational, and educational activities in the community.
Complete daily documentation, including behavioral data, token exchange records, shift summaries, house charts, checklists, medication administration records, and incident reports.
Complete housekeeping chores, including laundry, vacuuming, and dusting.
