About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support daily residential operations at one of its addiction treatment centers. The role oversees intake, client supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications; trains and supports the BHT team; and helps maintain a positive, recovery-oriented environment. The position also ensures clients and BHTs follow Avenues rules, policies, and procedures, and escalates concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale while maintaining a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure clients and BHTs comply with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
