About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support daily residential operations at one of its addiction treatment centers. The role oversees activities including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications, and helps maintain a warm, positive recovery environment. The technician trains and supports the BHT team, monitors client engagement and morale, ensures clients and staff comply with Avenues policies and procedures, and escalates concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.

Requirements

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with the ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character that models recovery principles.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, at least one year of sustained sobriety.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily residential operations, including intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, and medications.
• Train and support the BHT team in its operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate concerns or crises to the Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale and maintain a warm, positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance with Avenues rules, policies, and procedures.
