About The Position

As Lead Accountant – Order to Cash at New Relic, you will serve as the operational bridge between Revenue/Finance leadership and the Accounts Receivable (AR) Operations team. You will drive month-end close acceleration and establish governance across global workflows and projects. You will coordinate end-to-end Order-to-Cash (OTC) transformation by embedding AI automation, predictive risk engines, and standardized operations into the daily financial reporting cadence. The role leads project coordination, standardizes and documents AR procedures, and designs human-in-the-loop validation steps to safeguard financial controls. It also leads the implementation of agentic and non-agentic automation, partners with technical teams on predictive account risk models, and uses intelligent document processing and exception-handling tools to improve efficiency and support global operations. You will translate AR aging, Collections Efficiency Index (CEI), and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) metrics into liquidity forecasts and risk assessments for leadership, while aligning data points between Finance/Revenue leadership and AR Operations. The position requires progressive OTC/AR/FP&A experience in SaaS or technology, relevant finance systems proficiency, global team coordination, financial analysis, and experience leading process changes in SOX-compliant environments. The role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. The stated estimated base pay range is $118,000–$147,000 USD, varying by work location and job-related factors. Requirements

5+ years of progressive OTC, AR, or FP&A experience in SaaS or technology sectors.
Hands-on proficiency in NetSuite, BillingPlatform, Zuora, and HighRadius.
Track record of coordinating cross-regional teams, analyzing complex financial data, and building structured variance reports.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Finance, Sales, and Legal.
Experience leading teams through process changes in SOX-compliant environments.

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing financial process improvements such as robotic process automation (RPA), auto-match logic, or OCR/Intelligent Document Processing (IDP).
Familiarity with corporate compliance guardrails for using Generative AI in financial workflows, including data security protocols such as PII/MNPI masking.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation of agentic and non-agentic automation for end-to-end OTC transformation.
Partner with technical teams to deploy a Predictive Account Risk Engine using billing and consumption telemetry to prioritize collections outreach.
Use Intelligent Document Processing and automated exception-handling tools to streamline repetitive work, including payment auto-matching in HighRadius.
Translate AR aging, CEI, and DSO metrics into liquidity forecasts and risk assessments for leadership.
Serve as the real-time liaison between Revenue/Finance leadership and AR Operations, aligning on data points.
Coordinate cross-regional teams, analyze complex financial data, and build structured variance reports.
Lead teams through process changes in SOX-compliant environments.
