Layout Designer-Knoxville,TN

Texas Instruments•Knoxville, TN

About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Layout Designer to develop and prepare multi-dimensional layouts and detailed drawings of semiconductor devices from schematics and geometry provided by design engineering. The role involves creating and managing integrated circuit (IC) layouts from start to finish using CAD software, including floorplanning, designing, implementing, and verifying analog integrated circuits. The designer supports design engineers in meeting precision, speed, area, reliability, power, and ESD requirements, and works with PE/Packaging engineers to support reliable production capability and prepare data for fab hand-off, documentation, and archiving. The position collaborates with Analog and Digital design teams and the global layout design community. It includes applying manufacturing rules to create robust, area-efficient layouts; preparing specifications and verifying dimensions and artwork; checking compliance with Design Rule Checks (DRCs) and Electrical Rule Checks (ERCs); participating in design reviews; and creating design-flow automation. Texas Instruments will not sponsor applicants for visas or work authorization for this position.
