About The Position

Seyfarth Shaw LLP, an international law firm with over 1000 attorneys, has an exciting opportunity for a Labor & Employment Staff Attorney (ERISA) with 3 or more years of increasingly responsible experience in employment, commercial or insurance litigation. Candidates should have familiarity with federal court practice. Extensive writing experience as well as the ability to handle a high-volume practice that includes file review, preparing case analysis memoranda, pleadings, attending routine court hearings, attending mediation or conciliation meetings, and negotiating settlement agreements is required. As an Staff Attorney in the Labor & Employment Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.

Requirements

3+ years of increasingly responsible experience in employment, commercial or insurance litigation
Familiarity with federal court practice
Extensive writing experience
Ability to handle a high-volume practice
Excellent academic credentials
Solid work ethic
Admission to the Illinois bar or the ability to waive in
