About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in the San Francisco, California office. The practice represents clients in employment litigation, counseling, and training across numerous jurisdictions. This role offers the opportunity to take a significant role in a broad range of labor and employment matters and involves extensive contact with clients, governmental agencies, and opposing counsel. The attorney will handle litigation work such as drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Candidates should be prepared to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and work independently and collaboratively. Attorneys with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law may also be considered, including those developing experience in this practice area. The position offers a salary range of $145,000 to $240,000 per year, along with a range of benefits.

Requirements

Admission to practice law in California.
At least 1 year of experience in employment law matters; the posting describes a range of 1 to 15 years.
Prior employment litigation experience.
Experience handling single-plaintiff employment claims, PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters.
Strong writing and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law may be considered for developing attorneys.

Nice To Haves

Employment litigation experience on the management side.
Employment counseling or in-house employment law experience.
Experience in employment law; the firm is also interested in talented attorneys with litigation experience in other arenas and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law.

Responsibilities
