About The Position

The Lab Technician weighs and maintains pigment blends and masterbatches for products produced at RMA Manchester, following Quality, Laboratory, Environmental, and Safety systems and supporting production. The role involves preparing pigment blends in a timely manner to support compounding production lines, using production schedules and control plans to prepare upcoming blends, and maintaining the pigment room's cleanliness and organization. The technician may also perform inventory counts and other duties assigned by the Color Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail when weighing pigments.
• Comfort working with Windows 7 and Office, including MS Word, Label View, and Excel.
• Comfort working with both English and Metric systems.
• Basic math skills to perform proportions, percentages, and calculations.
• Practical and analytical abilities, with the capacity to multitask.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to climb straight incline ladders.
• Color vision.
• Use of fingers and hands for writing and handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to communicate verbally, read and comprehend information, and type when needed.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and maintain pigment blends and masterbatches for products produced at RMA Manchester.
• Prepare pigment blends in a timely manner to support compounding production lines.
• Use production schedules and control plans to prepare upcoming blends in queue.
• Maintain and improve pigment room cleanliness and organization.
• Perform inventory counts in the pigment room when needed.
• Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
• Uphold Ravago's Code of Conduct standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Color Manager.
