About The Position

The Lab Technician weighs and maintains pigment blends and masterbatches for products produced at RMA Manchester, following Quality, Laboratory, Environmental, and Safety systems while supporting production. The role coordinates with management and production to prepare pigment blends in time to support compounding production lines, uses schedules and control plans to prepare upcoming blends, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pigment room. The technician may also perform inventory counts and other duties assigned by the Color Manager.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail when weighing pigments.
• Comfort using Windows 7 and Office, including MS Word, Label View, and Excel.
• Comfort using both English and Metric measurement systems.
• Basic math skills to perform proportions, percentages, and calculations where applicable.
• Practical and analytical abilities, including the ability to multitask.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to climb straight incline ladders.
• Use of fingers and hands for writing and handling or feeling objects, tools, or controls.
• Color vision.
• Ability to perform repetitive body motions, including reaching, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as necessary.
• Ability to communicate verbally, read and comprehend information, and type when needed.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and maintain pigment blends and masterbatches for products produced at RMA Manchester.
• Coordinate with management and production to prepare pigment blends in a timely manner to support compounding production lines.
• Use production schedules and control plans to prepare upcoming blends in the queue.
• Maintain and improve the cleanliness and organization of the pigment room.
• Perform inventory counts in the pigment room when needed.
• Follow all Quality, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.
• Uphold Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Color Manager.
