About The Position

The Kitchen Assistant Manager is a full-time, working-manager role at Stauffers of Kissel Hill’s Mount Joy Fresh Foods location. The position coordinates food preparation for the hot foods area and meal center, supports department operations, and helps the department manager meet labor, gross profit, and inventory-control budgets. The role requires flexible availability for day, evening, and weekend work. The hourly wage is $23.00, and the posting offers a $3,000 hiring bonus. Requirements

Must possess a current and valid ServSafe certification.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and prepare food for the hot foods area and meal center.
Assign duties to team members and schedule breaks, work hours, and vacations based on business needs and upcoming store events.
Assist in writing game plans and plan-o-grams for department merchandising based on advertisements and display profitability.
Assist with training workers in store policies, departmental procedures, and job duties.
Communicate regularly with the scan department to resolve incorrect information and ensure correct pricing.
Coordinate vendor invoices, SKH invoices, and inter-company transfers daily to ensure timely billing.
Follow established departmental cleaning procedures.
Work as a manager while performing department responsibilities to ensure smooth operation of the assigned area.
Maintain knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to assist with ordering supplies and merchandise from approved vendors.
Maintain and operate departmental equipment.
Supervise and perform departmental inventories to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
Assist the department manager in obtaining budgets for labor, gross profit, and inventory control.
