About The Position

The Kids Events Team Member leads children ages 3 to 13 through activities such as rock climbing, swimming, arts and crafts, gym games, and other programming. The role incorporates nutrition education into themed activities and provides a safe, fun experience for children. The team member may lead groups of up to 10 children and helps maintain clean, orderly activities while promoting monthly events and following department budgets for supplies, snacks, and drinks.

Requirements

• 1 year of related experience.
• First Aid certification required within the first 60 days of hire.
• Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire.
• Ability to tolerate loud noises.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, use hands, objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb ladders.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in interactive activities, including arts and crafts, singing, sports activities, and games, while maintaining a safe environment.
• Lead groups of up to 10 children ages 3–13 with a fun, positive, and outgoing attitude, serving as a role model.
• Demonstrate courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism with internal and external customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of activities and programming to ensure safety.
• Promote monthly events and activities to increase participation and revenue.
• Ensure supplies, snacks, and drinks are used according to the amounts prearranged by the department budget.
