About The Position

The Kids Camp Attendant provides a welcoming and safe child-care environment for members and their children. The role includes registering and checking out children, supervising and interacting with them, organizing games and arts and crafts, and supporting feeding and comfort needs according to parents’ directions. The attendant also maintains a clean and safe work area, communicates with parents and guardians, responds to childcare calls, supports member requests, and follows club policies and procedures. Duties may be changed or altered at any time.

Requirements

Maintain valid Child/Infant CPR.
Have experience working with children.
Hold certifications required by applicable local or state laws.
Have good communication skills.
Have strong safety skills.
Have strong customer service skills.
Be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally.
Be able to stand, bend, and squat frequently.
Be able to climb and hang decorations when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide a friendly atmosphere for members and children.
Register and check out children and parents.
Watch and care for children to ensure their safety.
Interact consistently with children and initiate games and arts and crafts projects.
Bottle-feed babies or assist older children with eating according to parental direction.
Keep children calm.
Clean and sanitize childcare toys.
Keep the work area free of sharp or harmful objects.
Answer the childcare phone.
Communicate information about children to parents or guardians.
Provide recommendations for toys, educational tools, and similar resources.
Know, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, and standards, including those in the Employee Handbook.
Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
Know the club facility and its services.
Assist with projects delegated by club management.
Attend annual staff meetings, monthly department meetings, and employee training meetings.
