About The Position

Fitness Growth Capital is seeking a high-energy, positive, and passionate Kids Camp Attendant to care for children in a supportive, inclusive fitness-club environment. The role involves welcoming members and children, overseeing children’s safety and activities, assisting with feeding needs according to parental direction, and communicating with parents or guardians. The attendant also maintains a clean and safe childcare area, responds to childcare phone calls and member requests, follows company policies and procedures, and assists with projects delegated by club management. The position includes annual staff meetings, monthly department meetings, and employee training meetings. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Maintain valid Child/Infant CPR.
• Experience working with children.
• Obtain certifications required by applicable local or state laws.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong safety skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Able to lift 10 pounds on occasion.
• Able to stand, bend, and squat frequently.
• Able to climb and hang decorations when needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a friendly atmosphere for members and children.
• Register and check out children and parents appropriately.
• Watch and care for children to ensure their safety.
• Interact consistently with children and initiate games and arts-and-crafts projects.
• Bottle-feed babies or assist older children with eating needs according to parental direction.
• Help keep children calm.
• Clean and sanitize childcare toys and keep the work area free of sharp or harmful objects.
• Answer the childcare phone.
• Communicate information about children to parents or guardians.
• Provide recommendations for toys and educational tools.
• Know, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, standards, and the Employee Handbook.
• Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
• Learn the club’s facilities and services.
• Assist with projects delegated by club management.
• Attend annual staff meetings, monthly department meetings, and employee training meetings.
