About The Position

The Kids Camp Attendant provides a friendly atmosphere for members and children, supervises and cares for children, and supports their safety and engagement. The attendant handles child registration and checkout, communicates with parents and guardians, maintains a clean and safe childcare area, and follows club policies and procedures. The role may report to the Child Care Director, Operations Manager, Assistant Manager, or Assistant General Manager, as applicable. Duties and reporting arrangements may be subject to change.

Requirements

Maintain valid Child/Infant CPR.
Experience working with children.
Hold certifications required by applicable local or state laws.
Good communication skills.
Strong safety skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Able to lift 10 pounds on occasion.
Able to stand, bend, and squat frequently.
Able to climb and hang decorations when needed.

Responsibilities

Provide a friendly atmosphere for members and children.
Register and check out children and parents.
Watch and care for children to ensure their safety.
Interact consistently with children and initiate games, arts, and crafts projects.
Bottle-feed babies or assist older children with eating according to parental direction.
Keep children calm.
Clean and sanitize childcare toys.
Keep the work area free of sharp or harmful objects.
Answer the childcare phone.
Communicate information about children to parents and guardians.
Provide recommendations for toys, educational tools, and similar items.
Know, understand, and follow all policies, procedures, and standards, including those in the Employee Handbook.
Facilitate member requests or forward them to a manager.
Learn the club facility and its services.
Assist with projects as delegated by club management.
Attend annual staff meetings, monthly department meetings, and employee training meetings.
