About The Position

Bocado Tapas is a neighborhood restaurant inspired by the flavors and social dining traditions of Spain, Mexico, and the Mediterranean, offering shareable food and crafted drinks in a lively setting. The Keyholder is a hands-on leadership position that helps ensure smooth restaurant operations during assigned shifts. This role serves as a trusted on-floor point person who can work independently, take ownership of the shift, and provide direction and support to team members. The Keyholder may open or close the restaurant, oversee service, address routine guest and operational concerns, and guide the team when a manager is not immediately available. The position is suited to someone with restaurant or hospitality experience who is dependable, confident working independently, and interested in developing leadership skills. Training is provided on restaurant procedures, keyholder responsibilities, and floor leadership expectations. The Keyholder may coordinate employees, delegate routine shift responsibilities, maintain service standards, and address routine operational or guest concerns. Unless specifically authorized by restaurant management, the role does not include hiring, termination, formal disciplinary action, performance evaluations, approving time off, or other formal employment decisions. Matters requiring higher-level managerial authority should be escalated to restaurant management. This is a part-time position at Bocado Tapas in Barrington, Illinois, paying $25.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience, with approximately 20–30 expected hours per week.
