About The Position

Maintain a safe and clean store facility environment while consistently providing friendly, courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Perform cleaning and related duties throughout the store and on store property. The role generally works 6–8 hour shifts between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm; shift times may vary in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays. For minors hired, hours and the machines and equipment operated may differ.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Food Handlers Certification, as required by state law.
• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform moderate lifting of up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to crawl, bend, stoop, climb, balance, reach, walk, push, pull, maneuver in tight quarters, and climb ladders and scaffolding.
• Ability to use approved chemicals and solvents.
• Ability to work outside in cold, hot, and inclement weather, including rain, snow, and sleet.
• Ability to communicate by hearing and speech with customers and fellow employees.
• Ability to learn safety and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers, maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic customer-service atmosphere.
• Perform regular and as-needed cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and employees.
• Keep sales-floor, backroom, restroom, office, and breakroom floors free of spills by sweeping and mopping; maintain sweep logs.
• Empty trash cans and bins throughout the interior and exterior of store property.
• Maintain office and employee breakroom areas.
• Wipe down walls and appliances, including pop machines, vending machines, ATMs, cases, and rails.
• Clean and sanitize restroom floors, fixtures, and appliances.
• Clean cases and glass doors throughout the store.
• Maintain can-return machines and their area, including wiping down machines and emptying bins.
• Dust and vacuum store facilities.
• Assist with replacing lamps in light fixtures.
• Clean and scrub backrooms.
• Cooperate courteously with customers.
• Assist with gathering and bringing shopping carts in from the parking lot as needed.
• Respond quickly to audible pages for spill cleanup, customer service, accidents, and emergencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
