About The Position

The Janitorial Clerk helps maintain Lowes Foods’ guest service, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the store, both indoors and outdoors. The position includes cleaning and sanitizing store areas, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, supporting front-end operations as needed, and communicating maintenance needs to store management.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. constantly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and direction.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull, and endure outdoor elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Gather and empty trash throughout the store as needed.
Clean cases and floor displays throughout the store.
Clean up spills, sweep, and mop as needed.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Maintain and organize backroom supply areas.
Maintain and clean guest seating areas, the host breakroom, and restrooms.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Maintain a clean and visually appealing parking lot and store entrance.
Clean doors, windows, glass, store fixtures, shelving, and racks as needed.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Communicate maintenance needs to store management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
