About The Position

Maintain a safe and clean store facility environment while consistently providing friendly, courteous customer service to internal and external customers. The role performs cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the store, responds to spills and other customer or safety needs, and performs other related work. Shifts are generally 6–8 hours between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.; the store operates 24/7, and varied shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
Food Handlers Certification, as required by state law.
Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform moderate lifting of up to 30 pounds.
Ability to crawl, bend, stoop, climb, balance, reach, walk, push, pull, maneuver in tight quarters, and climb ladders and scaffolding.
Ability to use approved chemicals and solvents.
Ability to work outside in cold, hot, and inclement weather, including rain, snow, and sleet.
Ability to communicate through hearing and speech with customers and fellow employees.
Ability to learn safety and departmental policies and procedures.
Ability to perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

Welcome, engage, serve, and thank customers, maintaining a friendly and enthusiastic customer-service atmosphere.
Clean and maintain a safe environment throughout the store, performing cleaning tasks regularly and as needed.
Keep floors in sales areas, backrooms, restrooms, offices, and breakrooms swept and mopped, maintain spill-free floors, and complete sweep logs.
Empty interior and exterior trash cans and bins.
Maintain office and employee breakroom areas.
Wipe down walls and appliances, including pop machines, vending machines, ATMs, cases, and rails.
Clean and sanitize restroom floors, fixtures, and appliances.
Clean store cases and glass doors.
Maintain can-return machines and the surrounding area, including wiping down machines and emptying bins.
Dust and vacuum store facilities.
Assist with replacing lamps in light fixtures.
Clean and scrub backrooms.
Cooperate with customers in a kind and courteous manner.
Assist with gathering and bringing in shopping carts from the parking lot as needed.
Respond quickly to audible pages for spill cleanup, customer service, accidents, and emergencies.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
