About The Position

The Janitorial Clerk helps maintain Lowes Foods’ guest service, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the store. The role also ensures that Show standards are implemented and maintained inside and outside the store. The position involves cleaning and sanitation throughout guest-facing and backroom areas, maintaining a neat and safe environment, and completing front-end duties as needed to support the “no noticeable wait” standard.

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. constantly and 50 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push and pull, and endure outdoor elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Provide polite, friendly interactions with guests and co-workers.
Gather and empty trash throughout the store as needed.
Clean spills, sweep, and mop as needed.
Maintain a neat and safe work area so guests can shop without agitation.
Maintain and organize backroom supply areas.
Maintain and clean guest seating areas.
Maintain and clean the host breakroom.
Maintain and clean restrooms.
Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom.
Keep the parking lot and store entrance clean and visually appealing.
Clean doors, windows, glass, store fixtures, shelving, and racks as needed.
Perform front-end duties as necessary to uphold and maintain the “no noticeable wait” standard.
Communicate maintenance needs to store management.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
