About The Position
ServiceMax Janitorial, LLC is hiring a full-time, traveling Janitorial Area Manager to oversee janitorial operations across St. Louis, Missouri, and surrounding areas, including Decatur and Champaign, Illinois, and Evansville, Indiana. The role calls for a hands-on leader who can motivate and develop personnel while maintaining high service standards at multiple sites. Frequent, planned travel is required, with availability to travel when needed, especially during the initial period. The manager may perform cleaning duties alongside team members, provide shift coverage, and assist with new site start-ups. Requirements
- Proven experience in janitorial management or a similar role.
- Physical capability to perform job duties and be on one's feet most of the day.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently, especially during the initial period.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Energetic, hardworking, and friendly, with a positive, can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily janitorial operations across the assigned region.
- Travel as planned and be available to leave when needed.
- Lead and motivate site managers and janitorial staff.
- Conduct regular site visits, with frequent travel required.
- Communicate with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Perform cleaning duties alongside team members as needed.
- Schedule, hire, and train new staff; provide shift coverage when necessary.
- Assist with new site start-ups and ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain strong organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
