About The Position

The IT Support Assistant provides day-to-day support for computers, user accounts, the network, and technology operations across Bluebird Kids Health. This entry-level position is designed for individuals seeking to begin a career in Information Technology. The role focuses on device preparation, user onboarding, inventory management, and first-level technical support under the direction of the IT Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows operating systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Reliable transportation for local travel to Bluebird Kids Health locations.
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment, including lifting and carrying up to 80 pounds.

• Technical school coursework, A+ certification, or related training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deploy laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Reset, image, and configure computers.
• Create user accounts and assist with onboarding activities.
• Process equipment shipments, returns, and asset tracking.
• Maintain inventory records and equipment assignments.
• Troubleshoot common hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Respond to routine help desk requests using documented procedures.
• Assist with clinic technology deployments and office moves.
• Create and maintain IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Escalate complex issues as appropriate.
