About the position
The Information Technology Support Assistant at eScribers is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the company's information technology hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, and network systems. They will also be involved in deploying, installing, and maintaining electronic court reporting equipment and setting up audio-related equipment. Additionally, they will manage users in the directory service and test, deploy, and manage company software. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring optimal network and computer function, as well as providing support and troubleshooting to end users.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining network systems by installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, including peripheral devices like printers, switches, routers, and other equipment, and related network software.
- Assists in the deployment of new desktops and laptops to end users.
- Providing support and troubleshooting problems with desktops, laptops, software, and court reporting equipment to end users.
- Ensures optimal network and computer function as well as minimal downtime by conducting periodic diagnostics and testing of computers, networks, and electronic court reporting hardware, including microphones and sound mixers.
- Collaborates with other members of the IT Department and management to review and analyze hardware and software requirements; recommends appropriate changes.
- Perform installation, setup, and testing of audio-visual equipment such as AV systems in accordance with the specifications provided. Ensuring all audio-visual equipment is in proper working order prior to each court session.
- As needed, perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual equipment.
- Knowledge of the different audio and video file formats and the tools and software required to convert between these formats.
Requirements
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting information technology hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, and network systems
- Knowledge of deploying, installing, and maintaining electronic court reporting equipment and setting up audio-related equipment
- Ability to manage users in the directory service
- Proficiency in testing, deploying, and managing company software
- Familiarity with installing new hardware and modifying existing hardware, including peripheral devices like printers, switches, routers, and other equipment, and related network software
- Experience in deploying new desktops and laptops to end users
- Ability to provide support and troubleshoot problems with desktops, laptops, software, and court reporting equipment to end users
- Knowledge of conducting periodic diagnostics and testing of computers, networks, and electronic court reporting hardware
- Collaboration skills to work with other members of the IT Department and management to review and analyze hardware and software requirements and recommend appropriate changes
- Proficiency in installation, setup, and testing of audio-visual equipment, such as AV systems, in accordance with provided specifications
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on audio-visual equipment

- Offered salary will range from 30,000 Euro to 32,000 Euro Annually based on experience.
