Court Reporter / Stenographer - Contractor Position

eScribers is a leading court reporting and transcription services company that is rapidly growing worldwide. They are currently seeking stenographic court reporters to join their team on a contractor basis. The ideal candidates must have relevant training or experience as a steno reporter and be able to provide certification credentials or proof of completion of an accredited court reporting program. The role involves appearing in-person for hearings in Albany, NYC, and surrounding areas, with remote work also available. Professionalism, meeting deadlines, and having a reliable internet connection and transportation are essential.

• Provide court reporting and transcription services for courts and government agencies
• Appear in-person for hearings in Albany, NYC, and surrounding areas (remote work is also available)
• Possess NCRA, NVRA, NYSCRA Certification Credentials or proof of successful completion of an accredited court reporting program
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Maintain a high degree of professionalism
• Meet all deadlines
• Have a high-speed internet connection
• Have a reliable mode of transportation
• Have a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments

• Compensation on a per-project/assignment basis
• Daily appearance fee
• Transcription fees
• Travel expenses reimbursed, if necessary
• Weekly pay via direct deposit
• Onboarding process with completion of required paperwork and familiarization with workflow system
• Variable compensation based on the number of cases covered
• Priority for work given to applicants with excellent quality standards in assignment submission
